REVIEW: “Perfect You” by Elizabeth Scott

PerfectYou_ElizabethScott This was a really cute, young-adult book about a girl dealing with a lot of stuff that’s going wrong for her. It’s not the “fluff” romance you think it would be… it was much deeper than that. There are several story lines going on at the same time, each dealing with different parts of Kate’s life.

What I really didn’t like was Kate’s constant whining, and her whoa-is-me attitude. There were many times where I just wanted to smack her. Same with her dad. But, the character of Will was great, and I really enjoyed him. I also thought that the relationship between Kate and her brother, Todd, was very realistically portrayed. Very well done. Their conversations made me smile.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend this book. I really enjoyed it, regardless of Kate’s attitude. I couldn’t put the book down. 🙂

  1. i’ve read some of her other stuff and loooooved it.
but she’s not as whiny as bella, is she? i hope not. (though i don’t think that’s possible.)

ps: added your blog to the word for teens directory; you can get to it through the blog. ^^

    1. LOL. I didn’t see Bella as being all that whiny, really. So, in that regard, I thought Kate (in this book) was MUCH worse than Bella!

But the relationship between Kate & Will was really good… not quite as “suspenseful” as the one with Bella & Edward, as these two actually were making out for a great deal of the book, whereas B&E weren’t. 😉
