This was a really cute, young-adult book about a girl dealing with a lot of stuff that’s going wrong for her. It’s not the “fluff” romance you think it would be… it was much deeper than that. There are several story lines going on at the same time, each dealing with different parts of Kate’s life.
What I really didn’t like was Kate’s constant whining, and her whoa-is-me attitude. There were many times where I just wanted to smack her. Same with her dad. But, the character of Will was great, and I really enjoyed him. I also thought that the relationship between Kate and her brother, Todd, was very realistically portrayed. Very well done. Their conversations made me smile.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this book. I really enjoyed it, regardless of Kate’s attitude. I couldn’t put the book down. 🙂
