REVIEW: A Song In Stone by Walter H. Hunt

Book Description (from Amazon.com):
There is a mystery in a chapel, and a man who must find the answer.

A Song in Stone begins with the premise that Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland is part of an unfinished larger church – and that it contains a mystery, one clue of which is found in the intricate stonework of the chapel. It goes from there to the Middle Ages, taking Ian Graham, currently-unemployed television personality, with it, literally, as he tries to learn the chapel’s secret before it is too late to return to his own time, his own life.
Before he goes, he must find the music that the stone points to.

My Thoughts:
This book was very well written! I loved all the twists and turns, and how you sometimes had to really pay attention to get what was going on. There was lots of suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t put the book down!

The facts and such were very interesting, too. Fans of mathematics will find this book intriguing, as there’s lots of that included. But, even those NOT a fan of such (like me) will still really enjoy this one. 😉

I look forward to more by this author!

Rated: A-
(highly recommended!)

  1. This book sounds great although I think it is more up my Dad’s alley then mine. He is a mystery fan and I believe he has some books by this author already. How is Dracula going? The original story is wonderful. I never realized until I saw the movie with Frank Langella. That was based on the original book and was fantastickly creepy!

  2. I’m so glad you liked it! When I read the description on LT I was sure this was one I would want to read. It’s already on my long wish list that I keep on my desk. 🙂

  3. I loved Tales from Jabba’s Palace. It’s so great to see I’m not the only one. It was great to see how you came up with your idea for this story.

  4. Thanks to the very generous author A SONG IN STONE is now in my TBR.

I’m a bit a math fan. I may skip ahead in the pile and read it sooner rather than later. =)
